Cellular Jail - National Memorial

Cellular Jail, situated at Port Blair, stood unspoken observer to the torment meted out to the freedom fighters, who were incarcerated in this Jail. The Jail was finished in the year 1906 and was developed of individual cells. Therefore it attained the name, “Cellular”. Gandhi Park

Corbyn’s Cove Beach



One of the most beautiful, coconut palm adorned beach, is 7 kms away from Port Blair town. Artifacts like hotel, restaurant and bar, changing room etc., are obtainable near to the beach. Historical remain like Nipponese sand trap can be seen on the way to the beach.

Chidiya Tapu

Chidiyatapu is the southerly most tip of South Andaman. As its name this is popular destination for bird watchers. Its exuberant green mangroves, forest cover with many chirping birds and the Sylvan Sands make it a perfect picnic spot. A very beauteous beach titled Munda Pahad near to very famous amongst the local people.

Mount Harriet

The summer central office of the chief commissioner during the British time, this is the Second advanced point in Andaman islands, is a perfect place for a picture taking or a trekking point upto Kalapathar and Mount Harriet.

Ross Island

Ross Island, the former capital of Port Blair during the British government, is a small island standing as defender to Port Blair harbour. The island currently houses the devastation of old buildings like Press, Swimming Pool, Ballroom, Government House, Church, Chief Commissioner’s House, Hospital, Bakery, Cemetery and Troop Barracks, all in bedraggled condition.
